This past weekend all of the Howe men and boys, except Baby Dan - he's too little, went down to Parker Canyon Lake for a little R&R(&F) whilst the Howe women and girls had their estrogen fest. The weather was perfect with some light storms during the evening and almost always a cool breeze. The sunset was fantabulous.
Parkin was about to stay with the womenfolk, partly because Lesley was afraid he would drown and partly because I didn't want to hold him the whole time, but Uncle Scott with his persuasive powers convinced Lesley that we would not let him drown. After all is said and done, I am glad he got to go.
Scott brought along some kayaks that he borrowed from a friend. As you can see, they were a big hit. Holman, JJ, and Parkin had a blast in them. I think those three are going to be the Three Musketeers once we're out in Mescal. They were just off shore for these photos and we had Danny out in the other kayak just in case. We took Parkin out and then tied Holman and JJ's kayak to Danny's and he hauled them around the lake. At point they were both leaning over to the same side and it looked like they were going to capsize.
The fishing was pretty good. We caught ten bluegill between the four or five of us who did some fishing. We only kept and cooked three of them. Here is a shot of Spencer and Seth holding them:
We made sure Parkin was safe around the water(We had to keep our promise to Lesley that we wouldn't let him drown):
Can you spot the two jaguars in this tree? We couldn't keep those two out of it.
When it was time to go, we were a little tight on space so JJ offered to ride on top:
Finally here is a shot from the parking lot above the campsite. I think most of the crew is pictured there:

I love all the pictures that you took. Your post would make an excellent scrapbook page.
Sounds and looks like a lot of fun! But did you guys have M&M's with whipped cream!!!! :)
No M&Ms but we did have ALL the double-stuffed Oreos because I stole the other package from our bedroom without Babs catching me! It was grand fun especially with the cool lightning display when we went to bed.
