There is one skill that every boy needs to perfect. What is it you may ask. Just watch the video and you'll find out.
Parkin will turn 2 this Sunday, May 3rd. He is practicing that most useful skill on the cage that we are using for our temporary chicken coop. I had not seen him do it before today, but Lesley informed me that he has been doing it for a few days. Before I started shooting this video, he had climbed high enough to touch the top of the gate.
This little guy is our desert rat. He runs around on our property bare foot and treks of by himself much to his mother's dismay. He is definitely hitting his terrible twos. Our first three children didn't hit their terrible twos until they were three. We affectionately refer to them as the thrashing threes. I wonder if this is due to his being raised in the wilderness. Whatever the reason, he is going to be one tough cookie.

Nice Ben, don't you love how we like to capture the moments of naughtiness we should probably discourage. We have all done it so welcome to the club :) If only they didn’t do such cool or cute stuff at times.
Cute Parkie! I had no idea you guys had chickens too (like Mel and Josh). Have you eaten any yet?
Just wait until he's a teenager.
